Whether sentimental, visual, burlesque, sung, or danced, the Russian Arts and Cinema Festival of Nice will welcome its representatives on the shores of the Mediterranean. Desired to be contemporary, this festival has, for ten years, honored Slavic culture by bringing talented troupes to the National Theatre of Nice. For this 10th edition, Nice Premium wishes to introduce Russian theater to you by offering 12 invitations*. You have the opportunity to choose from these three performances:
– Once (Once Upon a Time…) created by Anton Adasinskly and awarded four times between 1997 and 2000, will offer you a dance show in a deliberately delirious atmosphere, where death and love coexist, to Latin rock rhythms.
– The Storm, by Lev Erenbourg, immerses you in Russian dramatic art by revisiting a play by the playwright Alexandre Ostrovski. Awarded a Golden Mask in 2008, the equivalent of Franceโs Moliรจres, Nice Premium allows you to discover its magic.
– Messer Chups, directly from St. Petersburg and ambassadors of electro psycho, will lead you into the depths of the mind with torrid and frenetic compositions that create a unique atmosphere between vintage, sixties, and electro music.
But since a culture is not limited to a show, the Russkoff festival will have you participate in a conference/debate on the freedom of expression in Russian theater (hosted by the Press Club 06). You will also discover Russian dishes and another famous beverage… tea.
*An invitation grants access to the show for 2 people.
