It’s official, Nice will indeed host two TOP 14 matches next season during the championship semi-finals.
Earlier this week, the National Rugby League (LNR) confirmed that the TOP 14 semi-finals for the 2021-2022 season will be held in Nice.
Regarding the TOP 14 2020-2021 semi-finals, discussions are currently underway with potential candidates, and the Executive Committee will decide in September 2020 among the proposals presented. 4/14

This decision is partly due to the fact that the Allianz Riviera was initially supposed to host the semi-finals this year, specifically on June 19 and 20. However, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, these were canceled.
The stadium in Nice must therefore wait a bit longer before hearing the cheers of rugby fans who have not had the opportunity to attend a high-level match since the French national team’s preparation match for the 2019 World Cup in Japan, against Scotland (a 32-3 victory for France), on August 17, 2019.
It is hoped that by then the stadium can once again vibrate to the sound of some 35,000 supporters that it could accommodate.
