ANICES’ reserve team won the French Torball Division 2 Championship following the return matches played in Aubervilliers. Despite a defeat against Reims, the Nice players maintained their lead in the standings thanks to five victories and finished the season with the best defense in the championship.
ANICES’ reserve team concluded its season in the best possible way. Away in Aubervilliers for the return matches of the French Torball Division 2 Championship, the Nice team clinched the national title like the women a few weeks ago after maintaining the first place acquired during the first phase.
The delegation from the Côte d’Azur was composed of Cédric, Philippe, Sébastien and Yacine. François provided coaching while Thierry participated in the organization at the scoreboard. Before the sporting event of the weekend, the group attended the French Cup football final between Nice and Lens at the Stade de France. « Thank you to Mr Jean-Pierre Rivère and Ms Zara Boutayeb for this great moment! »
A thought also went out to Mikaël, top scorer of the first phase, who was absent during this decisive trip.
An immediate response
The day nevertheless began with a defeat against Reims (5-7). This setback did not call into question Nice’s ambitions. Aware of the pressure exerted by their pursuers in the standings, the team quickly found its rhythm.
The Eagles won against Aubervilliers (5-2), Besançon (7-5), Clermont-Ferrand (6-4), Sarcelles (6-0) and BienHetre (7-1). These five victories allowed ANICES Reserve to finish at the top of the championship with 20 points.

Beyond the title, ANICES Reserve also finished the season with the best defense in the French Torball Championship Torball Division 2. The Nice players conceded only 26 goals over the entire first and second phases, a figure that reflects the consistency shown throughout the season.

The weekend ended on a note of satisfaction for the Nice delegation. The French Torball D2 champions title adds to ANICES’ achievements and rewards a season controlled from start to finish. Special mention was also given to Ghanim, Julien and all the volunteers mobilized in Aubervilliers for organizing the competition.
