This Saturday, July 6, the โTour de France Stageโ will take place between Nice and Col de la Couillole. The aim is to introduce amateurs to the world of the Tour de France at the Tour Stage. This will be under the same conditions. As such, road closures are announced.
The Tour de France Stage is coming to Nice this Saturday, July 6. The program includes 138 km that 14,000 participants will need to cover. Not to forget, the four passes with 4600m of elevation gain: the Col de Braus, Turini, Colmiane, and Couillole. The goal? To immerse all participants in a Tour de France atmosphere, the kind that you dream about on TV and on the roadsides. Traffic will be restricted. Here is a summary for you.
Regarding the closed roads
Several roads will be closed. In the morning, from 6 AM to 10 AM, the road M2204B from Nice to La Trinitรฉ will be closed. Also, the D2204B from the Cantaron Roundabout to Pointe de Blausasc. The D2204, from Pointe de Blausasc to Col de Nice. And the D2204, from Col de Nice to the foot of Col de Braus.
From 7 AM to noon, the D2204, from the foot of Col de Braus to Sospel will be closed.
Starting in the early afternoon, the D2566, from Sospel to Col de Turini will be closed from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. As well as the M70 from Col de Turini to M2565, from 8:30 AM to 3 PM. The M2565 in the Vรฉsubie Valley will be closed until 4 PM.
The M2565 from Saint Martin Vรฉsubie to Col de la Colmiane will be closed from 9:15 AM to 5 PM. M2565 from Col de la Colmiane to the Tinรฉe Valley, M2205, will be closed from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The M2205 to M30 will be closed from 10 AM to 6 PM. And finally, the M30 from Saint Sauveur sur Tinรฉe to Col de la Couillole will be closed from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Other restrictions inside Nice
In Nice, traffic is also limited. In Nice city center, from July 5 at 8 PM to July 6 at 2 PM, the Promenade des Anglais, north lane of Avenue Max Gallo to Avenue de Verdun will be closed. On Saturday, July 6 from midnight to 2 PM, the Promenade des Anglais, north and south lanes from Avenue Max Gallo to Magnan, Avenue de Verdun, and Avenue Fรฉlix Faure starting at Rue Alberti will be closed. The same day, from 2 AM to 12:30 PM, the Jean Jaurรจs Boulevard, from Place Massรฉna to Place Toja will be closed, as well as the upper part of Avenue Max Gallo and vehicle detours via Liautaud tunnel.
From 5 AM to 10 AM, Quai Rauba Capeu and Quai des รtats-Unis will also be closed (traffic will be reversed on this axis to allow exit from Vieux-Nice from Sulzer and Saleya parking lots). Avenue Max Gallo and the entire Liautaud tunnel will also be closed.
In East Nice, on July 6 from 6 AM to 10 AM: Avenue Saint-Sรฉbastien, Boulevard Risso, Boulevard Vรฉrany, and the entire Pรฉnรฉtrante du Paillon will be closed.
Finally, exiting Vieux-Nice via Saleya and Sulzer parking lots:
exit via Quai des รtats-Unis (against the traffic direction), then via Rue Foresta. From Vieux-Nice: exit via the Crotti descent (set as two-way), then via the tramway path to Place Garibaldi, then Rue Catherine Sรฉgurane to reach Place Ile de Beautรฉ at the Port.
Complete reopening of traffic in Nice on Saturday, July 6 starting at 2 PM.
In the Cians-Var sector and East sector
One-way traffic set in the descent of the Cians gorges until the roundabout of RD 6202 and RD 28, from 4 AM to 10 PM. The traffic on RD 30 from Beuil to Col de la Couillole will be closed from 10 AM to 8 PM.
RD 2204 B, from the Cantaron roundabout to Pointe de Blausasc will be closed from 6:30 AM to 10 AM;
RD 2204, closure from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM from Pointe de Blausasc to Col de Nice.
RD 2204, from the foot of Col de Braus to Sospe, closure from 7 AM to noon.
Finally, RD 2266 from Sospel to Col de Turini will be closed from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
