The Eshkar company, competing for the Cannes Tourisma Salon Awards, offers an innovative system. It is an intelligent guide for visiting all locations, based on the geolocation of the person using this system. It was designed by combining different technologies: GPS, infrared, magnetic field analysis, and accelerometer.
An example: step out onto the Palm Beach terraces, observe the landscape, and this audio guide will comment on everything you see. La Croisette, the Lerins Islands will hold no secrets for you.
The trigger? Yves Apeloig had the idea while strolling in Aix en Provence. Hands in his pockets, he imagined a system that would allow him to know this city in detail.
This system can be very useful in the tourism sector: museums, tourist offices…
