Towards a Reopening of Ski Resorts

Latest News

While last year the ski lifts were closed due to the health crisis, the future of the resorts now seems to be on the right track.

On October 16th, Tignes kicked things off by opening their ski slopes. The Savoyard glacier was able to welcome its first skiing fans without the Health Pass.

It’s now the turn of the Southern Alps resorts to announce their opening dates. However, there remains one unknown: the Secretary of State for Tourism, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, specified that the government is considering the possibility of requiring a health pass for the ski lifts.

While this question still stands for French resorts, Switzerland, on the other hand, will not require the Health Pass this winter.

Regarding the resorts in the Maritime Alps:
– Auron will open daily from December 4, 2021, or the preceding weekend (November 27 & 28) until April 18, 2022, *depending on snowfall.
– Isola 2000 will also start its season from December 4, as well as La Colmiane.
– Valberg will open its ski lifts on December 11.
