Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, November 24, a major civil security exercise will be held in the tunnel of tram line 2. Some tram and bus lines will be disrupted. Here is what you need to know.
Organized by the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, Lignes dโAzur management, and the Nice Cรดte-dโAzur metropolis, this exercise is being organized to test the emergency services’ ability to be operational in the underground section of the tramway, as well as to test the equipment and materials.
Starting at 11 PM this Wednesday, the Garibaldi, Durandy, and Port Lympia stations of tram line 2 will be completely inaccessible to the public.
The police ask the public to avoid the area for the duration of the exercise, from Wednesday, November 24 at 11 PM until 1 AM. It is also recommended not to overload the police (17), emergency lines (15, 18, and 112), and authorities with phone calls (prefecture and Lignes dโAzur). Lastly, the public is asked not to spread false information on social media and not to take photos and/or videos of the exercise.
