OGC Nice has signed two new recruits in recent days. Two rather promising young players, enough to reassure the Nice supporters.
Supporters can breathe a sigh of relief. They, who were expecting reinforcements after numerous departures (Ben Arfa, Mendy, Genevois, Germain, Traoré notably left the ship), have been satisfied.
After the arrivals of the goalkeeper Walter Benitez and the Brazilian defender Dalbert Henrique, OGC Nice was able to add two new members to its squad: midfielder Arnaud Lusamba and forward Anastasios Donis.
The first, born in Metz and trained in Nancy, has always played in red and white. A young prospect from the 1997 generation, he played 56 matches and scored 10 goals with his formative club. He will reunite at the Gym with Rémi Walter, his former teammate, but also with Olivier Boscagli, whom he played alongside in the France U19 team. Arnaud Lusamba arrives on a transfer.
The second, a Greek forward born in England, is loaned with a purchase option by Juventus of Turin. Trained at Panathinaikos, the Greek U21 international was loaned last season to FC Lugano, where he played 25 matches, scored 4 goals, and provided 6 assists.
Other recruits are expected in the coming weeks to present a competitive team for the Europa League, even if some adjustments still need to be made (see sidebar).
