After recruiting Mohamed-Ali Cho last week, OGC Nice has acquired Valentin Rosier on loan with a purchase option.
The 27-year-old right-back arrives from Turkey, specifically from Besiktas. As revealed earlier this week by the newspaper L’Equipe, his purchase option is estimated at 3 million euros: “Valentin is a player who is at full maturity. He knows Ligue 1 and has experienced European competition with Besiktas. He is a complete full-back and a committed player who matches the DNA of the Gym. He will bring his freshness and energy to the team,” stated Florent Ghisolfi, the sports director of the Eagle this Friday at a press conference.
Things could still change
According to various Italian sources, including Gianluca Di Marzio, it seems that OGC Nice is on the lookout for the Moise Kean case, who is particularly courted by Rennes. The young Juventus forward had already been offered to the Gym during the summer 2022 transfer window, but the deal did not materialize. Meanwhile, Nicolo Schira reports that a loan for Romanian goalkeeper Andrei Radu, currently at Bournemouth, is a promising option following the recent departure of Salvatore Sirigu.
An early departure
Signed on a free transfer last September to serve as a substitute for Marcin Bulka, Salvatore Sirigu is (already) leaving the club. The Eagles announced this Tuesday that the Italian goalkeeper is moving to SK Karagümrük, a first-division team in Turkey. In four months on the Côte d’Azur, the man with 28 caps for the Squadra Azzurra didn’t play a single minute in the red and black jersey. Now 37 years old, he continues his globetrotting career, as he is set to explore a twelfth club since he began his professional career.
