OGC Nice records the arrival of a fifth player since the start of the transfer window. Arnaud Souquet, right-back from Dijon, is expected to be Ricardo’s backup. According to several specialized media sources, the Nice club should register more transfers before the start of the championship.

Competitor or replacement for Ricardo?
With this arrival, Lucien Favre has found the ideal backup for Ricardo, who appears to be the indisputable starter at the beginning of this season. However, given his performances in Ligue 2 last season, Souquet could be a serious competitor on the right side of the defense. With Ricardo-Souquet on one side and Dalbert-Boscagli on the other, OGC Nice seems well-equipped for the coming season. Before closing the transfer window, they would only need a central defender while waiting for Maxime Le Marchand’s return in early 2017 (if rehabilitation goes well), a midfielder, and a forward, essentially one player per line.
