Transfer: Youcef Atal expected in Turkey

Latest News

An agreement between Nice and the Turkish club Adana Demirspor is expected to be reached this Friday for the transfer of Youcef Atal.

After five seasons in the red and black colors, the story between OGC Nice and the Algerian player seems to be coming to an end. As a reminder, Youcef Atal was suspended several months ago by the club and suspended by the LFP following the sharing of a video calling for hate during the conflict between Israel and Hamas. As a result, the player was sentenced to eight months in prison with a suspended sentence and fined 45,000 euros.

Having just rejoined training sessions with the professional group after his return from the CAN, the right-back is expected to join the Turkish club Adana Demirspor this Friday. At the moment, an agreement has not yet been reached between the two parties, but both clubs wish to finalize the transfer today, the last day of the transfer window in Turkey.

Currently 9th in the Turkish championship, the club aims to revive the player and give him more playing time. He will reunite with his former teammate Mario Balotelli, who also plays for the Turkish club.
