OGC Nice is active in the transfer market which opened this Saturday. The international midfielder, Hatem Ben Arfa, will be presented to the press and his supporters this Monday afternoon while forward Dario Cvitanich is reported to be heading to Mexico.
Struggling in the championship (11th with a three-point lead over the first relegated team), eliminated from the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue, the Gym is making headlines at the start of the year with the arrival of the player with 13 caps for Les Bleus, Hatem Ben Arfa.
This Sunday, his former club Newcastle (England) confirmed the amicable termination of his contract. The former Lyon and Marseille player is therefore free to sign wherever he wants without a transfer fee. Revealed on Friday by Nice-Matin, Hatem Ben Arfa’s arrival was confirmed by the club on Saturday morning. The midfielder even trained with his new teammates (the players who were not in the squad for Valenciennes-Nice) and discovered Allianz Riviera.
This Monday afternoon, he will first be presented to the press and will then meet his new supporters at the official store (starting at 6:30 PM). The new “eaglet” will be the attraction during the signing session before taking his first photos in red and black.
Cvitanich’s adventure on the French Riviera is coming to an end. This Sunday, the Mexican sports press announced the imminent signing of the Nice striker with the Pachuca club, five-time champion of Mexico and winner of the Copa Sudamericana in 2006 (equivalent to the Europa League). The Argentine would return to a club he already knew in 2010 during a loan spell. At the end of his contract next July, Dario Cvitanich arrived in Nice from Ajax Amsterdam in August 2012 for โฌ400,000. Scoring 19 goals during the incredible 2012-2013 season of the Gym, which ended in fourth place, “Super Dario” has been disappointing ever since. Eight goals in 2013-2014 and then three this season, the Nice goal scorer lacks confidence and luck (injured numerous times). A departure that could mean the purchase of a new striker. Stay tuned…
