Due to inflation, the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur will have to make several organizational changes.
25 million euros is the amount that the Métropole NCA must save due to the rise in prices.
As a result, from July 1st, the price of bus and tram tickets will be increased by 20 cents, raising the ticket price from €1.50 to €1.70. This is the first time since 2013 that transport prices have undergone an increase.
To save the amount of 9 million euros, other changes will appear at the beginning of 2023:
– Tramway lines 1 and 2 will no longer run between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on weekdays
– Line 3 will end its service at 11:30 p.m. on weekdays
– Buses on lines 5 to 9 will start their services at 5:30 a.m. (previously 5 a.m.)
– The 10-trip tickets will be replaced by 12-trip tickets
Annual subscriptions will also undergo pricing changes.
Currently at 326.50 euros, the full-price annual subscription will now be 360 euros. For 18-25-year-olds, students, apprentices, and seniors over 65, it will increase from 145 euros to 180 euros.
