The association Vu pas Vu has unveiled its 2018-2019 program to us. Beyond borders, an invitation to travel. It is said that travel shapes youth.
We prefer Goethe’s definition: “Do you want to live happily? Travel with two bags, one to give, the other to receive.” Everything is summed up in this sentence. Indeed, traveling is first about giving, giving of oneself, and then receiving. Travel is thus an exchange. Are there still untouched places in the world left to discover? That is somewhat the challenge of Vu pas Vu.
The program offers us discovery trips, visits, and conferences. Provence, Italy, our Latin sister so close yet always to be discovered: Genoa, Albenga. The painters, with Rembrandt. Concerts, an eclectic program including a conference on Berlin, once again one of the cultural capitals of Europe.
The conferences will make us discover and travel, imagining ourselves in places where artists lived. It is the art of the lecturer: to take you to Amsterdam, Berlin, or elsewhere through the magic of words and images.
An average of four conferences, screenings per month, and Saturday morning sessions are offered to the members of the association Vu pas Vu until June 2019.
