Organized by the AMD Association, with the support of the Saint-Pierre d’Arène Parish, the Artists’ Chaplaincy, the Institute of Sacred Arts, Scenic Production, the City of Nice, and the General Council of the Alpes Maritimes, the tribute to Edith Piaf on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of her death will take place at the Church of Saint-Pierre d’Arène, where the singing priest, Gil Fiorini, officiates.
Three events will commemorate the memory and songs of the famous singer and actress:
Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 PM: A Grand Solemn Mass in memory of Edith Piaf, featuring songs and music by the “Little Sparrow.”
Sunday, October 13 at 3:30 PM: A Grand Recital “The Most Beautiful Songs of Piaf” with Vanessa PONT, Marie-Pierre OUDOL, and Gil FLORINI, accompanied by Stéphane ELIOT and Thierry NOLL, where you can listen to the most beautiful lyrics, performed by warm voices and talented musicians.
Sunday, November 17 at 3:30 PM: PIAF, a life in Pink and Black with Jacques PESSIS, Nathalie LHERMITTE, and Aurélien NOËL.
This show, created in Paris, is original and innovative: Jacques Pessis recounts the artist’s career through anecdotes and key dates of her life. Nathalie Lhermitte punctuates the story with timeless songs, accompanied by Aurélien Noël on the accordion.
