On Thursday, December 12th, at Rnchese School, a tribute will be paid to Louis Delfino on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of his appointment as General of the Normandie-Niemen fighter squadron during the Second World War.
A mural by the Nice artist OTOM will be inaugurated in the schoolyard, which has an International section and actively contributes to the dissemination of Russian culture among young people from Nice through the teaching of the Russian language and history, as well as organizing exchanges with Russia.
150 students from grades CE2, CM1, and CM2 will pay tribute to him by presenting their work on his history and on the “Normandie-Niemen” fighter squadron, sometimes in French, sometimes in Russian, and occasionally with music accompanied by the Firefighters’ Orchestra!
On this occasion, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the “Normandie-Niemen” fighter squadron will also be inaugurated within the school.
