The group will also pay tribute to James Brown, another great creator of African-American music, in a concert that promises to be legendary.
Gathered for the occasion will be: Frédéric D’Oelsnitz (electric piano, trumpet, musical direction, former member of Magma and Christian Vander Trio), Selim Nini (alto sax), Tahine (trombone), Jonathan Gritella (guitar), Fabrice Bistoni (Fender bass), and Laurent Sarrien (drums). Their electrifying repertoire will revisit all the great pieces of Hendrix, such as “Hey Joe,” “Purple Haze,” “Foxy Lady,” along with some gems of Brownian funk.
