– Engaged in the Dakar 2011 as the official driver for Team Elf Sherco, David CASTEU, the 2010 World Rally Raid Champion in the 450 CC category, welcomed 2 apprentices from the Institut de Formation Automobile, managed by the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur, into his team this year.
Alexandre GIORSETTI, the official TEAM mechanic hired after his education at the IFA, ensured the technical assistance for the team’s bikes for this second Dakar.
Originally from Le Cannet, 20-year-old Alexandre demonstrated real motivation throughout the Dakar, which was highlighted by David Casteu himself: “Alex was exceptional, he surprised me, he has truly found his path.”
– Aymeric FROMENTEL, 19 years old, in the second year of a vocational baccalaureate in Motorcycle Mechanics and currently alternating with the Antiboise company TUNING ZR, actively assisted the mechanics through his participation.

The IFA develops qualifying training programs tailored to the needs of professionals in the sector: Painter-Car Body Repairer, Auto Mechanic, Fine Tuner. Each year, more than 600 young people are trained at the IFA, which offers 15 diplomas and qualifications ranging from the CAP to the BTS. The life of the IFA is punctuated by numerous events: Skills Olympics, sports meetings, regional competitions, cultural initiation, 4L Trophy, Dakar 2010 and Dakar 2011, and dynamic projects for the best possible integration of its apprentices into the business world.
