According to the note published by Pôle Emploi and the Ministry of Labor this Thursday, the number of job seekers in category A (without work and required to look for one) increased by 0.5% in the third quarter in metropolitan France.
Therefore, an additional 16,300 people have, over this period, joined the ranks of the unemployed registered with the public organization.
In total, 2.45 million people are seeking employment in the mainland, excluding overseas territories.
Considered over a year, the situation is still better: the number of category A job seekers has indeed decreased by 1.2%.
