After an increase in May, unemployment began to decline again in June.

According to figures from the Ministry of Labor, published this Tuesday, July 25, there were 3,483,200 category A job seekers (without any activity) at the end of June, a decrease of 0.3% (-10,900) compared to the previous month.

Over three months, the number of category A job seekers shows a decrease of 0.7%, while the total for categories A, B, and C has significantly increased by 1.1%.

As has been the case since she joined the government in May, Labor Minister Muriel Pénicaud does not comment on these monthly figures.

However, she has promised to speak every three months, for “a very in-depth commentary on several figures concerning unemployment.”
