The Ministry of Labor revealed the unemployment figures for December 2017 this Wednesday.
The number of job seekers in mainland France continues its slight decline. The communicated figures indicate a decrease of 0.1%.
Thus, at the end of December in mainland France, 3,451,400 people registered with Pôle Emploi were unemployed (category A), representing 2,700 fewer unemployed people compared to the previous month.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, at the end of December, there were 70,790 category A unemployed people registered with Pôle Emploi. This is a slight increase of 0.2% compared to the previous month. The increase for this year is +0.7%.
This is the last monthly publication of unemployment figures. The first quarterly publication will cover the figures for the first quarter of 2018 and will be released on Wednesday, April 25.
