The improvement observed in January was short-lived. According to figures from the Ministry of Labor, released this Wednesday, March 25th, the number of job seekers in category A, meaning without any activity, rose again in February (+0.4%).
In the Alpes-Maritimes, the percentage was +0.1% (68,670).
“The number of job seekers registered with Pôle emploi in category A stands at 3,494,400 in mainland France at the end of February 2015. This number increases compared to the end of January 2015 (+0.4%, or +12,800). Over the course of a year, it grows by 4.6%,” details the ministry in a statement.
