The figures are almost identical. The number of job seekers in category A registered with Pôle emploi in France stood at 3,178,600 in April, according to data from the Directorate of Research, Studies, and Statistics (Dares) of the Ministry of Labor.
In March, Dares recorded 3,169,300 category A unemployed individuals. That is an increase of 9,300 job seekers in this category in one month (+0.3%).
The number of job seekers in category A decreased again by 5% in the first quarter of 2022, according to Dares data. The decrease is 15.7% over one year.
Taking into account categories A, B, and C, the number of job seekers was 5,456,300 in France in April, a total that is slightly lower than the previous month.
