The Nice team was defeated in Troyes against a newly promoted team, missing the opportunity to strengthen their third place in the standings.
In the Aube, on the field of a team they will soon face again for the rescheduled match against OM, Christophe Galtier’s players appeared apathetic for much of the game. The Troyes team – bolstered by the first appearance of World Cup champion Adil Rami – opened the scoring early in the match through Mama Baldé and created multiple chances.
Even though the inclusion of forward Amine Gouiri was beneficial, the former Lyon player was not enough to turn the game around.
