It is Garibaldi Square that will be the stage, starting at 1 p.m., for the Nice protest against the El Khomri bill.
The El Khomri bill, referred to as “aiming to establish new freedoms and protections for businesses and employees,” concerns collective bargaining, work, and employment. It contains very serious proposals for the destruction of employee rights according to the unions SUD Solidaires โ CGT โ FSU โ UEC โ UNEF โ SGL โ SAF โ CIP CA โ MJCF โ MJS, supported by: PC โ Ensemble โ PdG.
Therefore, these signatory organizations demand the complete withdrawal of this bill and call for a demonstration on March 9th starting at 1 p.m. at Garibaldi Square and encourage continued mobilization beyond that, particularly through inter-union mobilization days, including one scheduled for March 31st.
These organizations are firm in their denunciation of this bill: “While our country is experiencing an alarming increase in poverty, employees, precarious workers, the unemployed, young people, and retirees need more rights and less insecurity.”
