A partnership that benefits all! UCA and PSND have recently signed a framework agreement to strengthen the synergy and cooperation between the two institutions. Here’s more information.
This agreement is part of the evolution of the PNSD Rosella Hightower, which will become, as of January 1, 2024, a component institution of Université Côte d’Azur. The Côte d’Azur faculty is represented as an ex officio member on the Board of Directors of the PNSD, where it holds a seat with voting rights. Meanwhile, the school is at the heart of Université Côte d’Azur’s Governance since it is a member of its Board of Directors and of the institution’s Steering Committee. Through this rapprochement, UCA aims to promote training, research, projects, and events around the theme of Art by actively involving the PNSD in the activities and policy proposed by the College of Art Schools on “Arts and Creations” interactions.
The PNSD, a recognized specialist in the field of choreographic teaching, also sees its cooperation and collaboration strengthened with Université Côte d’Azur’s University Research Schools, directly or indirectly related to the Performing Arts. Cooperation will develop in the fields of pedagogy and research through the development of training and actions that address the PNSD’s issues, particularly in the fields of dancer health and music. Together, in terms of university courses, Université Côte d’Azur and the PNSD affirm their commitment to work towards awarding joint degrees.
An agreement that changes everything
The university commits to recognizing the status of high-level athletes, in terms of academia, to the PNSD dancers enrolled in the institution’s advanced cycle programs. Additionally, advanced cycle students and staff of the PNSD can benefit from the international mobility programs managed by Université Côte d’Azur with its international partners. PNSD students also have access to all services offered by the university’s Health Center, as well as by the University Life Directorate and the Cultural Directorate of Université Côte d’Azur.
Finally, the coordination of Université Côte d’Azur’s cultural policy, developed by the Cultural Directorate, will rely on this cooperation to implement a cultural and artistic project in close connection with all regional stakeholders. In this context, the PNSD will focus on developing initiatives with UniCArts to collaborate with major players in the field of dance.
