The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis has been operating since September 1, 2012, and ensures the quality of educational and research activities related to European integration at the European level.
The European Commission subsidizes this Center of Excellence to the tune of 75,000 euros to develop a multidisciplinary program aimed at federating the human resources of the Institute of Peace and Development Law (IDPD), the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEM), and the Faculty of Law and Political Science, establishing a Jean Monnet documentary center at the Trotabas campus library, developing international cooperation, and increasing the University’s external engagement.
As part of its activities, the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence offers 2 degrees which are fully focused on integration and are paths of excellence: a Master 2 “European Business Law” and a university diploma “European Project Engineering”.
It organizes conferences/debates on integration in partnership with the European Movement of the Alpes Maritimes.
Finally, the creation of a European project center will offer its expertise to local actors for the preparation of European funding applications.
