On Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 6 p.m., at the Grand Château de Valrose Theater, Professor Albert Marouani will officially hand over the functions of President of the University Nice Sophia Antipolis to Mrs. Frédérique Vidal, who was elected on April 19, 2012, by the institution’s Board of Directors.
After eight years as President of the University Nice Sophia Antipolis, Albert Marouani will remain the Honorary President of the institution and will continue teaching, an activity he has never ceased throughout his career.
His successor, Frédérique Vidal, who has also resigned from her responsibility as the director of the Faculty of Sciences, is elected for a term of 4 years, renewable once.
This ceremony will be an opportunity for everyone to connect two eras, notably to recall the major transformations the University has undergone over eight years with the transition to autonomy, and then to present the major orientations and future projects that will enable the development and influence of the Institution for the next 4 years.
