This Tuesday, April 3, the election of the board members of the University of Nice will take place.
The stakes of these elections are all the more important because beyond the responsibilities allocated to each of these councils, the new Board of Directors resulting from this vote will be responsible for appointing the next President for the next 4 years, as well as the new executive in all areas of governance defined by the framework of the LRU.
The Board of Directors will then meet for the first time on April 19, but the name of the person who will succeed Albert Marouani will be known.
Renewal of the 3 central councils, a major issue in the life of the institution
The terms of the staff representatives in the 3 central councils (Board of Directors, Scientific Council, and Council for Studies and University Life) are coming to an end, and the teaching and research staff, researchers and related personnel, BIATOSS staff, and students of the University (about 30,000 people) are called upon to elect their new representatives.
The election of the members of the central councils is conducted by a single-round list ballot, with proportional representation using the highest remainder method (except for certain schools of the Scientific Council, for which the election is single-member), by the entire university community.
