Latest News

It’s a common topic: can one be a high-level athlete and pursue higher education to prepare for the future? The answer is yes, provided there is the will to succeed and the necessary conditions are met by making the right choices. There are numerous examples. The latest is Alizée Morel, a member of Olympique Nice Natation.

Alizée MOREL, French Champion of the Championships in swimming!
As part of its High-Level Athletes Program, EDHEC has signed an agreement with Olympic Nice Natation addressing the challenge of the “dual project”: sports and studies.

Alizée Morel has just been crowned French Champion of the Championships in swimming with all her points and after her bronze medal at the FFN French Championships in Limoges, Alizée, who participated in several races at the 2015 French University Championships, achieved the following results:
French University Champion in the 200 freestyle and RECORD HOLDER in this event; French University Vice-Champion in the 100 freestyle; 3rd place in the 100 medley

Following these championships, she is officially part of the French University Team to participate in the Universiade.

On the academic side, she has no scheduling issues as her courses are online, supported by a tutor. In fact, the EDHEC e-learning bachelor’s program allows her to combine high-level sports practice with excellent education at a prestigious school.

“It’s no longer up to the athlete to adapt, it’s the school that comes to them.” Bernard Curzi, Director of BBA EDHEC Campus in Nice.
