This Thursday, October 24, the Federation of Student Associations and Corporations of the 06 organizes the Student Welcome Day (JAE) for the fifth time, in partnership with the City of Nice, the CROUS of Nice-Toulon, the PACA Region, and the University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis.
Throughout the day, all first-year university students and students from Grandes Ecoles will proudly represent the colors of their campuses during this fully designated day.
The day unfolds in three parts:
ACT I: The Morning – The Rally
Starting at 9 a.m., on the St Jean d’Angély Campus, students gather to prepare and form teams. Blue, red, yellow, and green, the campuses wear their colors to compete throughout the day. After some activities, speeches, and “clapping,” the start signal for the race will be given at 10 a.m. Students will embark on an adventure in the city of Nice, following a course filled with puzzles, ultimately reaching the top of the castle.
ACT II: The Afternoon – Inter-campus Challenge
Students will meet from 2 p.m. at the Palais des Expositions to represent their campus. Campus against campus, each competes on inflatable structures to win for their team. On-site, there will also be a village composed of the various partners of the day. At the end of the afternoon, only one campus will emerge victorious.
FINAL ACT: The Responsible Evening
At 10 p.m., the Palais des Expositions lowers the curtain and becomes the largest nightclub in Nice. All university and Grandes Ecoles students are invited, with 5,000 students expected for the biggest party of the year. Alcohol consumption is limited to three per person.
FACE 06, with this new edition of the JAE, aims to create cohesion among new students, to introduce them to the city and its key locations, and to familiarize them with the players in student life. Beyond the fun aspect of this day, FACE 06 wishes to convey real unifying values to the newcomers in Higher Education in Nice.
