This Saturday, ISCOM is organizing a national awareness day on DeepFakes, dedicated to students and high schoolers interested in the subject.
During this event, participants will have the opportunity to understand the technical basics of Deep Fakes and explore the associated dangers. They can also discover the ongoing efforts to detect and counter them, as well as the best practices to recognize and counter online misinformation.
The event will be held at the ISCOM School. The day will begin with a conference hosted from the ISCOM Paris campus and broadcast to the ISCOM Nice campus. Disiz Yyov, a content creator and intelligence trainer, highly followed on the social network TikTok, will lead this conference.
During the day, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in fun and interactive workshops on DeepFake detection and creation. Notably, a DeepFake detection workshop will be offered to participants, led by Arnaud Baechler Mesnard.
Raising Youth Awareness in the Era of DeepFake
In a world where information circulates at a rapid pace, the younger generation usually engages in “swiping” and “scrolling”. They consume content without always questioning its accuracy. The educational approach of this day is to use the codes, speed, and interests of the youth to raise awareness about distinguishing between truth and falsehood. This will be achieved through games, without judgment.
With the spectacular technological advancement of DeepFakes, the production of digital content is increasing exponentially. Thus, it opens up infinite creative possibilities. DeepFakes are becoming more realistic and problematic, with severe consequences ranging from misinformation to defamation.
ISCOM invites you to join them at 10:30 am on their campus. This day will focus on exploring digital media and raising awareness of the issues related to DeepFakes.
