UPE06 and Pôle emploi committed to providing job access for young graduates

Latest News

In the Alpes-Maritimes, considering the complementarity of their objectives to promote the professional integration of young graduates, the Territorial Directorate of Pôle Emploi 06 and UPE06 have initiated a collaboration on this initiative with the launch of the project “A Mentor for Employment.”

Eighteen young volunteers participated in the launch of the operation at UPE06.

This initiative aims to support a job seeker, under the age of 26, holding at least a bachelor’s degree (Bac +3 or higher), with the guidance of an HR professional or executive acting as a mentor to facilitate the access to employment and/or reintegration into the workforce.

To kick off this initiative, 18 young participants who have joined the program since January 2018, along with the mobilized mentors, were gathered at UPE06 to present the roles and responsibilities of each party and the implementation procedures of the program.

Following the presentation and discussions with the mentors, the beneficiaries expressed their reasons for their involvement in this initiative, including:

– For 90%: to benefit from a professional network
– For 60%: to be coached and regain confidence
– For 50%: to undertake internships for professional experience and accumulate diverse experiences.

The success of this launch highlights the commitment of the mentors to supporting employment and the significant involvement of the Pôle Emploi teams with motivated and willing young participants.
