In the event that the parliamentarians confirm their vote on the MACRON law, and more specifically article 49 concerning the privatization of the Nice Côte d’Azur and Lyon airports, and following the CCI’s call for a confrontation with the Minister of Industry regarding the conditions and rules of the specifications for the future investor(s), it is now the business community’s turn to move from striking gestures to concrete actions with a statement of which here is the key point:
“The companies of the Côte d’Azur are mobilizing to support the development of this remarkable infrastructure, essential for the economic future of the Côte d’Azur territory.”
The language is cryptic, but in fact, UPE06 announces their readiness to open their wallets if one wants to own an asset as is fitting in any open and capitalistic economy.
The language is clear, and the Union Patronale pour les Entreprises des Alpes-Maritimes, which uniquely brings together MEDEF and CGPME in the same collective, seems ready to invest in order to own an asset that it is fully capable of managing… and making prosperous!
“On this strategic issue for the Côte d’Azur, UPE06 steps in as a voice for the Côte d’Azur businesses by having hosted a newly created ‘ad hoc Committee’ of business leaders and experts, tasked with forming a consortium of companies and applying for the future tender concerning the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport” comments the employer organization.
Well said and well done!
