Signature today of the partnership charter for rehousing by Adolphe Colrat, Prefect of the Alpes Maritimes, and Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, Deputy for Housing and Urban Renewal, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, President of Côte d’Azur Habitat, along with all partners involved in the rehousing operation.
Since 2007, the Ariane district has benefited from a comprehensive requalification operation.
As part of the Ariane I Urban Renewal Project, which focuses on the St Pierre block surrounding Emile Ripert, Anatole de Monzie, Jouhaux, and Château St Pierre streets, the partners are creating a new and unprecedented dynamic in housing, employment, and social development. This is also the goal of the Ariane II phase, which was formalized between all partners in February 2012.
Phase II mainly concerns the requalification of the Paillon riverbank, as well as the expansion of the Sitelles Square up to the Ariane boulevard. In this context, the demolition of the Paillon 4 tower owned by Côte d’Azur Habitat is planned for the beginning of 2014. This building, located on the Paillon riverbank, consists of 96 housing units.
