On Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 12:30 PM, the inauguration of the exhibition “Urban Stories – Life Stories” will take place at the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture, Place Pierre Gautier in Nice. This exhibition will be held from April 21 to June 3, 2011.
The exhibition “Urban Stories – Life Stories” invites the public to wander through the heart of three neighborhoods in Nice undergoing renovation.
Strolling through the streets of Pasteur, Ariane, and Moulins, visitors will discover the evolution of these neighborhoods over time. Through photographs and testimonies, they can meet the residents and stakeholders of the renovation. By following the proposed tour, visitors will be able to see the profound changes in these sites that have long been neglected.
Since 2005, with the beginning of the first Urban Renewal Project in Nice, the state, local authorities, social landlords, and other partners have committed to using all possible means to ambitiously enhance these neighborhoods and thus offer residents and merchants a better living and working environment.
The exhibition will be punctuated by two round tables:
On May 5, 2011, at 6:30 PM: “Urban Renewal: Urban transformations for a sustainable city” with David Mangin, Marc Barani, Pascal Gontier.
On May 27, 2011, at 5:30 PM: “Urban Renewal at the heart of social and economic transformations of neighborhoods” with Jean-Paul Guรฉrin and Michel Bonetti (subject to confirmation).
