A new initiative by the Nice municipality for the benefit of children will kick off this Friday with the inauguration of LI RATETA beach, located at 71 Promenade des Anglais.
All children aged 6 to 17 enrolled in leisure centers will be able to enjoy this new beach (140 children per half-day).
On an almost doubled surface (over 1,000mยฒ of seaside space), youngsters will have access to a wide range of nautical and aquatic activities: water polo, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, as well as on the sand: wrestling, hip-hop dancing, Zumba, beach rugby, beach soccer, beach volleyball, ultimate… Inflatable structures and trampolines will also be available to them.
The City opens its “Li Rateta” beach club for all 6-12 year olds
The Li Rateta beach club is open to vacationers aged 6 to 12, from Monday to Saturday, during the months of July and August (closed on Sundays and public holidays), from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 6 PM.
The 40 children (per half-day) enrolled in the club will be supervised by a dedicated team of 4 instructors holding State Sports or Leisure Activity Certificates. They will enjoy the same facilities and activities as the children from leisure centers.
