For the second time, Valberg hosts the French Downhill Mountain Bike Cup organized by the departmental cycling committee.
These elite French mountain biking events will take place on the Loรฏc Bruni international downhill track (named after the quadruple world champion from Cagnes), on July 22, 23, and 24, 2022. It is a challenging and technical 3-kilometer descent.
This facility, specially created in 2019 for the 1st French Downhill Mountain Bike Cup, strengthens the station’s Bike Park, launched in 2016 during the French leg of the Enduro World Series, which now has 5 Enduro mountain biking tracks. All these amenities make Valberg a true mountain biking hub and foster the emergence of new talents in the department, which already boasts several world champions.
Valberg is no longer hiding its ambitions, as the town has even applied to host a World Cup Downhill Mountain Bike event at the station in 2024.
