Until October 22, the famous artist Victor Vasarely is being celebrated at the former prison in the port of Nice.

The exhibition “Vasarely, from Programmatic Art to Digital” features forty works that trace the exceptional career of Victor Vasarely. Six digital artists are also represented.

This is an unprecedented event in Nice that resembles the largest temporary retrospective of the artist outside Paris. Admission is free. Head to Espace Lympia, 2 quai Entrecasteaux until October 22. The exhibition is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 6 PM, and then until 5 PM starting in September.

New Works in Nice

This is an opportunity to discover Vasarely’s works that have never been presented in Nice before. The unique setting of the former prison at the port of Nice offers an original alternative to explore the artist’s universe.

Visitors will have the chance to admire pieces from the artist’s personal collection, as well as loans from private collectors and some pieces from the prestigious Renault Group Foundation, which originally created the logo for the automotive brand.
