The Palais Nikaïa is being transformed into a circus on June 2nd and 3rd in Nice. 26 horses, 12 acrobats, and 725 choristers will thrill you with pleasure.
Funded by the Alpes-Maritimes General Council, this show will delight both adults and children by offering a performance inspired by mythology. Music by Bruno Coulais and children’s voices will create a magical universe under a circus tent decor, thanks to the staging by Orlando Forioso. Assisted by Alexis Grüss and Bruno Coulais, this Italian director can rely on two major professionals, whose talent is well-established.
The Grüss family will thus provide a century and a half of passion for the circus. With this, Alexis Grüss’s team will recreate a circus tent within the Palais Nikaïa itself and set up the stands to accommodate the 725 choristers. Bruno Coulais, known and recognized for his film music, will accompany the horses and acrobats. But not stopping there, the creator of the choristers’ music will, through his notes, lead the children from local elementary schools (4th and 5th grades).
For proof, 16-year-old Camille Joutard, a chorister in the “Orfeo” choir, gives you a preview in images, under the explanations of Alexis Gruss, Orlando Forioso, and Alain Joutard, musical director of the Orfeo Junior Choir.
