The Town Hall of Villefranche-sur-Mer, along with the Center for Marine World Discovery, is participating in partnership with the RCCL company in a program called “Volunteering, Environmental & Humanitarian Programs” which is hosted aboard its ships.
“Humanitarian project of Liberty of the sea” is a humanitarian action in favor of Haitian children, aiming to collect donations of reading, educational books, and school supplies.
It is the Liberty of the Sea ship, which calls at Villefranche-sur-Mer every Monday until October 22nd, that will transport the donations to Haiti.
The Center for Marine World Discovery and the Villefranche-sur-Mer Tourism Office are participating in the collection of educational and school book donations until October 21, 2012.
The handover of donations to the crew of the Liberty of the Seas will take place on Monday, October 22nd at 4:30 p.m. at the Maritime Station.
