The best international teams from France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Monaco will face the best local and national teams from France, Italy, and local areas. This event will be held under the high patronage of the city of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, the Regional Council of PACA, and the Nice-Matin newspaper. The festival takes place on the grounds of the Villefranche-sur-Mer boulodrome.
The Lyonnaise boule, also called Jeu Provenรงal, is one of the oldest boules games in Europe. Mainly played in the regions of Lyon, Dauphinรฉ, Savoie, Auvergne, and the Pyrenees, it is no less popular on the Cรดte dโAzur, even if its counterpart “aux pieds tanquรฉes” is much more practiced locally.
