In 1967, the municipality of Villefranche-sur-Mer, led by Mayor Dr. Guy PERDONCINI, opened the doors of the Citadel to the Seventh Art.
This Friday, 50 years after the inaugural screening of the open-air cinema with Gรฉrard OURY’s “The Sucker,” the City of Villefranche-sur-Mer will pay tribute to him in the presence of his daughter and collaborator, Mrs. Daniรจle THOMPSON.
A cocktail will be offered in the Rose Garden and will be followed by the screening of the film, “The Sucker.”
An exhibition “Villefranche, Star of the Seventh Art” will highlight the most memorable sequences of Villefranche’s cinematic epic.
