Villeneuve Loubet, a child-friendly city since 2016, is honoring books, objects of desire and discovery, by celebrating the 3rd edition of the Youth Book Festival. It takes place on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Auguste Escoffier Cultural Hub.

This unique event, created by the municipality with the youth service, will be an opportunity to meet numerous prestigious illustrators and authors (PEF, Susie Morgenstern, Eli Anderson…) from all over France, who will present and sign their works in the heart of a vast 200 mยฒ bookstore specialized for children aged 2 to 16.

Child specialists, neuropediatrists, dieticians, and renowned experts like Boris Cyrulnik and Stรฉphane Clerget will also discuss numerous issues related to the world of childhood and adolescence during roundtable discussions open to everyone.

Comics, drawing, and art workshops will be offered to children. A cooking workshop will allow future chefs to prepare delicious small dishes with their parents.

Exhibitions, shows, a big Harry Potter game, a coloring wall, will punctuate these two days where both young and old are invited to learn, dream, and create. A novelty this year: a meeting with different authors and illustrators in Villeneuve schools as well as at the Henri Vallon Institute.
