Sharing pleasure, tasting wines, and gathering to extend the celebration. These are, in a few words, the keys to Vinoboss, a prestigious event that wishes, after Marseille and Montpellier, to establish itself in Nice. Nice Premium met with Franck-Lรฉopold Erstein, director of Vinoboss, who explains the ins and outs of his event.
NP: What makes your prestigious operation Vinoboss unique?
Franck-Lรฉopold Erstein: Vinoboss is a very convivial and particularly festive public relations event that takes place in two stages. The uniqueness lies in how Vinoboss partners share with their guests, usually business leaders, the pleasure and discovery of wines. They first receive a box of six bottles… which they must drink! – often in a management committee, with friends, family – then, they vote online to choose their favorite wine. A good month later, at the end of the year, all the partners of the event with their guests gather at a gala evening to meet the winemakers and crown the tasting winners. โIt’s a โpopular juryโ that I like,โ declared the national president of the Interprofessional Wine Committees at Vinoboss Montpellier last year. โItโs the consumer business leaders who taste and decide for themselves who are the best.โ
NP: How is the Nice project progressing so far?
FLE: Vinoboss Nice is actively taking shape. Some companies are already partners, and we are presenting the project to regional establishments to complete the participation. It is very important to gather local partners whose activities and clientele connect us to the Nice territory. At the same time, we ensure the absence of competition between partners. Thereโs still some room this year to welcome new partners who would like to please their clientsโฆ Indeed, Vinoboss is not expandable. Only about ten partners per edition can be present. We preserve the conviviality and intimacy of the relationships between all the personalities and their guests who trust us and whom we meet at the prestigious evening. It will take place in December, likely at the Negresco. We are already working on its animation.
NP: Why did you choose Nice after the Vinoboss events in Marseille and Montpellier?
FLE: It seems quite natural to organize Vinoboss in Nice. It is a large, very dynamic metropolis, welcoming, with a dense and enterprising economic network. Nice brings together all the qualities to make Vinoboss successful. After the successes in Montpellier and Marseille, it is also very logical to complete the coverage of the Mediterranean axis. Why wouldnโt what worked in Marseille and further in Montpellier work on the same model in Nice? Finally, the headquarters of Vinoboss is being established in Nice and it is from here that we now wish to radiate and develop.
NP: What will your schedule be until the day of your event?
FLE: Time flies. We are working with the Interprofessional Wine Committee of the Center Loire and its major appellations (Sancerre, Pouilly, Menetou, etc.) to bring together the participating wine estates. They will be between 42 and 48 presenting vintages for the great pleasure of our partners and their guests. In parallel, we approached the wine producers of Bellet to integrate them this year into the prestigious evening. After the summer, we will begin the logistical phase of creating the tasting boxes and distributing them to the invited business leaders. Simultaneously, each participant will be informed through our website www.vinoboss.fr about the wines, partners, and how the operations are going. At the end of November, the votes, which take place online on the site, will then be counted, and the winners designated. Each will then receive their invitation card for the eveningโฆ
NP: Finally, what can we forecast for this upcoming Vinoboss in Nice?
FLE: Success, of course. A small group of bonded, high-quality, and complementary partners. We want Vinoboss Nice to become the showcase for all Vinoboss editions. Better than in Montpellier or Marseille where we have already organized several editions, Nice must become the heart of our activity. We already have strong ambitions for the next two years and are making efforts now to meet our objectives. As all participants testify, Vinoboss is an excellent way to strengthen ties with clients, enhance one’s relational network, and a great opportunity for wine estates. The Vinoboss in Nice must not fail to live up to this standard.
