Nice Premium: So Virginie, how is the morale at the red and black house just hours before the derby against Marseille?
Virginie Rossetti: There’s no euphoria, just a feeling that a big match is looming… everyone is aware, having seen Marseille play in recent weeks, that they are not the same team as during the initial matches, so caution is needed… but I think we are all very excited about the atmosphere there will be Sunday night at the Ray!! The stadium’s entry record is going to be shattered!! It’s going to be very, very hot!!
NP: Fourth place before hosting OM. Who would have predicted that last year at the same date?
VR: Maybe that’s the magic of football… no one can predict anything in advance!! But personally, I have always believed, even during the worst period last year, remember the interview you did with me when everything was going badly, you highlighted one of my phrases “Nice will play in Ligue 1 next year”…
NP: In your opinion, what is the secret of this success?
VR: The secret, to me, is the quality of the coach and his staff who have never given up and who continued to work 24/7, even in the most difficult moments… this quality mixed with that of the players who make up this group and the atmosphere that reigns there (huge!!)…
NP: Can you also talk to us about the operation that will take place on the occasion of this match?
VR: At the initiative of Cédric Kanté, during the warm-up, the players will wear a t-shirt bearing the emblem of the CAMS (Commission for the Abolition of Sexual Mutilations) carrying the following message: “Stop Female Genital Mutilation.”
We can use the incredible communication vector that is football to send messages aimed at advancing things, shifting mentalities… that’s why whenever we get the chance, we make every effort to lend a hand to causes such as this one.
NP: What are the initial reactions to the new magazine of OGC Nice?
VR: They are very good, with many points of sale running out of stock!! The feedback has been very positive regarding the editorial content, the photos… the portrait of the coach, the one of Hugo, the initial matches recommented by the staff… many people have expressed their satisfaction in discovering ogc nice.event!!
NP: Any other projects before the end of the season?
VR: We are already working with the whole Actufoot team on the next mag which should be released next June with new surprises, one of which is particularly close to my heart because I really like what he does: the insertion of a DVD “special best moments” of Konio.
NP: Finally, what score do you predict for tonight?
VR: Never a prediction!! Just a very deep desire: 6 points against OM!!!!
