The Communal Palace of Nice is the name given to its former Town Hall for three centuries. Its architectural style is inspired by Turin and Genoese baroque. It was built in 1574 and opened to the public in 1584. Located in the heart of Old Nice, at Saint-Franรงois Square, it was the main urban center of the time. This Palace has been listed as a historic building since December 10, 1949.
This conference is part of the series of lectures on the exceptional monuments and sites of Nice, organized by the Delegation for Historical Heritage, Language, and Niรงoise Culture for the attention of municipal agents: a first on our territory.
It is quite a symbol for municipal agents to visit in this way.
