Nice won the first quarter-final match by defeating Rennes 3-1 (26-24, 25-22, 25-27, 25-19).

The second match will be played on Tuesday the 23rd in Rennes. The tiebreaker match, if necessary, will take place on the 24th, also in Rennes.
