Volleyball: Eric Tanguy from Nice reelected President of the Federation

Latest News

After a first term, Eric Tanguy (president of the ASPTT) was brilliantly re-elected for the next four years with 82.55% of the votes during the general assembly, which was held in a differential mode with the participation of over 70% of clubs.

An outcome that needs no commentary.

Upon the announcement of the results, Eric Tanguy stated: “I would like to thank all the clubs that renewed their trust in me. We are carrying an ambitious project with new directions and a strong desire to grow French volleyball, and I am touched by the interest shown by the clubs in our program. I am also pleased with the voter turnout in this election (75.36% of affiliated clubs voted) under conditions that were not always optimal. This demonstrates a strong willingness from our clubs to invest in the democratic life of French volleyball, and this is very positive. Over the next four years, we will be attentive to their needs, as I have committed. It is the role of a federation to serve its clubs and members, and our priority will be to emerge as best and as quickly as possible from the crisis French sports and volleyball are experiencing.”

For the record, the Nice-based leader also sits on the CNOSF, where he was Vice-President during the term set to end next spring.
