For the penultimate match of the regular season, Nice Volley Ball faced Paris at home at the Giamarchi gymnasium.

Ranked 12th, Nice played their last match of the regular season against Paris. The beginning was promising for the team from Nice, who quickly led (10-5). But Paris did not let themselves be fazed and gradually made a comeback. After the timeout in the first set, Nice proudly led by five points against the Parisians. The Eagles maintained this advantage, winning the first set (25-18).

Nice couldn’t get back on track in the early minutes of this second set. Just a few minutes in, Nice Volleyball called for a first timeout. Despite numerous cheers from the supporters, Nice couldn’t climb back up. Paris widened the gap with a ten-point lead. This second set ended in Paris’s favor (25-15).

The third set was tense for both teams wanting to shine. However, Nice had some shortcomings and allowed themselves to be dominated by Paris. After a touch error in Paris’s block that went unnoticed, following a VAR decision, Paris retained their significant advantage. This third set ended (25-10) in favor of the Parisians, who led two sets to one.

A decisive fourth set, with a slight dominance from Nice. Paris caused some mischief during the timeout, delaying the resumption of the match, earning a yellow card for non-compliance. The fourth set was won by Nice (25-18), leveling the score. Thus began the final set of the evening.

A very tight start to the set between the two teams. It was ultimately Paris who managed to make a difference (15-13) in this last set, which was highly tense for both teams.

The final score (18-25/15-25/10-25/25-18/15-13) favored the Parisians at the end of a very competitive match. Nice Volley Ball will play their last match of the season next Saturday in Toulouse.
